1. Information we collect

When you use SoundsLab, we may collect the following information:

• Account data — name, email address, and hashed password when you register.
• Usage data — features accessed, session duration, device type, and OS for product improvement.
• Payment data — processed via PCI-compliant third parties; we never store full card numbers.
• Audio content — files you upload or generate, stored only to provide the service to you.
• Technical logs — IP address, browser type, crash reports, and error logs used for stability.

2. How we use your information

Your data is used exclusively to deliver and improve SoundsLab:

• Deliver, maintain, and continuously improve the service.
• Process transactions and send related receipts or billing notices.
• Respond to your support requests promptly.
• Send product updates — you may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
• Comply with legal obligations under Indian law and applicable international standards.

We never sell your data. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes — ever.

3. Cookies & tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We may also use anonymised analytics cookies to understand feature usage patterns at an aggregate level.

You can disable non-essential cookies from your browser settings at any time — core functionality will not be affected. We do not use any cross-site tracking or behavioural advertising cookies.

4. Data security

We employ industry-standard protections including TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only. We conduct periodic security reviews.

While we use robust safeguards, no internet transmission is 100% guaranteed. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication where available.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct any inaccurate information.
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Opt-out — withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.

6. Data retention & children

We retain account data while your account is active. After deletion, audio files are removed within 30 days and personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

SoundsLab is not intended for users under 13 years of age. If you believe a child has registered, contact us immediately and we will delete the account.
